In 1985, Pastor Pierre Harry Oska arrives in Carrefour Feuilles, Haiti. His principle preoccupation was evangelism. He started to organize prayer Home Groups based on raw Biblical teachings. Because many people took part, it became the Independent Church of God, in October 1986. In 1994, after many struggles and spiritual battles, this Church was recognized by the Haitian government as The Independent Church of God of the Narrow Gate. A couple years later, this work expanded to many regions of the country. Notably in Jacmel, in Rendel, in Arnoux, ect. This is how it transformed into the mission of The Independent Church of God of the Narrow Gate. The Mission of The Independent Church of God of the Narrow Gate have the abbreviation MEDIPE (from the original French name). The headquarter of the whole mission is situated in Haiti. MEDIPE is divided into at least nine districts; two of which is the international district. We have over 150 established churches and home groups throughout Haiti and the international (USA, Canada, France, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Congo, & Chile). The Churches of MEDIPE are those founded by the mission or affiliated to the mission through its vision and objectives, rooted in the word of God, through the gospel of Jesus-Christ.
